Changjiang Scholars Chair Professor at the Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property, Tongji University; formerly Programme Director of the Master of Laws (Technology and Intellectual Property Law) and Associate Professor in the Department of Law at the University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on the interdisciplinary study of intellectual property law, cultural creativity, and technological innovation.

She is also an Adjunct Professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Honorary Advisor to the Hong Kong Patent Attorneys Association, Executive Committee Member of the International Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property, and a Special Allowance Expert.

She edited the monograph Patents and Innovation in Mainland China and Hong Kong: Two Systems in One Country Compared (Cambridge University Press, 2017), among other works, and has received a Faculty Research Award.
