Wenpeng Wei

Currently serves as the Beijing Branch Chief and Senior Reporter for Hong Kong’s “Mirror Post.” Recognized as a Top Innovative Talent of CUC (national-level). Also holds social positions including Council Member of the Hong Kong Huangpu Military Academy Descendants and Friends Association, Standing Council Member of the Communication University of China Hong Kong Alumni Association, and Permanent Member of the Hong Kong Federation of Journalists. He is a registered journalist with the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong, and the All-China Journalists Association.

Major Achievements:

Deeply committed to the patriotic pro-Hong Kong media arena: With long-term dedication to political reporting on Hong Kong, Macao, and the mainland, he is familiar with the political systems of both sides and possesses exceptionally high political acumen. He has undertaken reporting assignments for multiple major national political events, including covering the military parade of the “Conference Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression” on-site from the VIP section of the Tiananmen Rostrum in Beijing in 2025, as well as full coverage of the National “Two Sessions” over the years. He leads the overall operations of the Beijing Branch of “Mirror Post” and actively leverages the role of patriotic pro-Hong Kong media in guiding public opinion.

Pragmatically advancing cross-border collaboration in politics, business, and academia: Skilled in international communication strategy and coordination of overseas media affairs, he has long overseen the exchange of resources among Beijing, Hong Kong, and Shandong. In education and culture, he has actively facilitated the connection of mainland universities such as Weifang University with academic resources in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, serving as a visiting lecturer at the School of Media and Communication of Weifang University. In trade and investment attraction, he leverages the advantages of the Hong Kong Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce, and media platforms—combined with events such as the “Hong Kong-Shandong Week”—to assist multiple mainland enterprises in “going global” and expanding into international markets. He has also participated in coordinating numerous Shandong-Hong Kong economic and trade promotion activities.

Mr. Wei Wenpeng has long played a bridging and connecting role, dedicating himself to telling the stories of China and Hong Kong well. In the future, he will actively empower the Hong Kong Institute of Technology in the areas of international communication, think tank development, and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.
